7th Annual Hall of Fame

The 7th Annual UTC Hall of Fame dinner was held on Friday, December 2, 2005. The UTC Hall of Fame is the premier black-tie event for Utah's Technology industry. It recognizes individuals with Utah connections who have made significant worldwide contributions to the information technology and life science industries.

The 2005 inductees were Drew Major, a founder of Novell and the lead architect and developer of Novell’s NetWare operating system for 15 years; and Dr. Homer R. Warner, M.D., PhD, a father of Medical Informatics.

The keynote speaker was HP President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Hurd, who shared his insights with a sell-out audience of more than 700 technology business and community leaders. In his address, Mr. Hurd stated that in the future "the companies who succeed will be those who embrace change and turn it into a competitive advantage."
