PR Experts Susan Richards of Altiris, Mark Fredrickson of NextPage, Debra Lund of Franklin Covey, Blake Stowell of The SCO Group, and Cheryl Snapp Connor of Snapp Norris Group to give “PR Tips from the Trenches”

SALT LAKE CITY – Nov. 29, 2005 – Public relations practitioners Susan Richards of Altiris, Mark Fredrickson of NextPage, Debra Lund of Franklin Covey, Blake Stowell of The SCO Group, and Cheryl Snapp Connor of Snapp Norris Group will provide “PR Tips from the Trenches” at a Utah Information Technology Association (UITA) Industry breakfast on Dec. 7 at 7:30 a.m. at the University of Phoenix.

The panel of PR experts, moderated by Chris Tunis of The Enterprise, will discuss the best practices they follow in high-tech public relations. Included in the discussion will be practical tips and experiences of how attendees can improve their company’s public relations immediately.

“Small to large companies in this area can benefit tremendously from the experience and advice of these PR professionals, who are some of the high-tech PR leaders in the state,” said Richard R. Nelson, president and chief executive officer of UITA. “This breakfast can help attendees working in PR, marketing or any other area to improve their public relations practices.”

UITA has held several industry breakfasts and meetings to help companies in the Utah high-tech industry learn about subjects like venture funding, Internet marketing, information security, international trade and other topics. This breakfast is the first topic directed toward public relations.

The breakfast is free for UITA members and $15 for non-UITA members. The University of Phoenix is located on 5373 Green Street in Salt Lake City. For more information about UITA’s industry breakfasts or to register, visit http://www.uita.org/events/112205.htm or call 801-568-3500.
